The majority of homes have been built since 1980 and many have three and four-bedrooms. The majority of Rancho San Diego real estate ranges from $500,000 - $600,000 for attached homes.  Rancho San Diego enjoys a quiet, rural setting with the conveniences has a large shopping center, movie theater, dining, and several neighborhood centers, and specialty malls. The community offers many recreational activities, including five golf courses, local parks, and many hiking, jogging and mountain biking trails.

The hills and mountains of the 92019 zip code area surround the valley and are filled with custom homes of varying architecture and exceptional construction.
